Microwave: Combine hot water and couscous in a 1- or 2-quart microwaveable casserole. Cover and cook on High for 2 minutes. Stir. Let stand covered about 5 minutes until most of liquid is absorbed and couscous is tender. Stir before serving. (Microwave ovens vary; cooking time is approximate.) Optional: For richer flavor, add 1/2 tbsp butter per 1 cup of dry couscous. 2 Servings: 1/2 cup couscous, 3/4 cup water. 4 Servings: 1 cup couscous, 1-1/2 cups water.
