If using a cooking thermometer, sausage is cooked thoroughly at 180 degrees F. Preparation: Gas or Charcoal Grill: Pre-heat gas grill to medium-low heat. (If charcoal, allow to burn until white ash forms on embers). Place links on grill, 7-9 inches above the heat source. Use tongs to turn often, every 4-6 minutes. Cook until golden-brown, 25-30 minutes. (Close the grill lid while cooking to minimize flare-ups.) Skillet: Heat skillet to medium. Add 1/2 cup water, place links in skillet. Cover, continue heating for 10 minutes, turning links once. Remove cover, cook 10 minutes more until golden-brown. Serve 'em hot and plump on a bun.
